Judging

Helen has been judging Boer goats for over 12 years, and is currently an accredited Level 3 Judge. She began her judging career by judging at many country show locations throughout Queensland. In recent years, she has judged in all other states, except South Australia. Her judging has included State Championship and Royal Shows, including Canberra Royal (NSW State Show) 2010.

In 2009, Helen was recruited by the Queensland Branch of the BGBAA to provide the training for two Breeders’ Workshops.  The training catered for members and others interested in learning about the breed standard of the Boer goat.  One of these was held on farm at Yarrabee in February, and the other at Cairns in May.  Other Breeder’s Workshops have since been run, with the most recent one being in July 2022.
